Iron-on-Ink Family Game Night Edition

Hello! It’s Courtney here again, as I looked at the decorative panel for my project I decided I would make a scoreboard for my family game nights. Sure a pad of paper and pencil work fine but I would like to have something more permanent and easy to use. So for this project I am going to use Artesprix Sublimation Markers for an Iron-on-Ink Family Game Night Edition project.

What are Artesprix Sublimation Markers?

Iron-on-Ink is a way to transfer your designs from a regular piece of copy paper to a blank of your choosing that as the material of a polyester base. Heat activates these sublimation markers which makes the transfer process happen.

Materials and Tools:

Step-by-Step Tutorial:

Step 1: To start, trace around the decorative panel on a piece of copy paper.

Step 2: Next, I used a Silhouette Cameo to sketch out the wording I want on my scoreboard. Remember to sketch in reverse so that it will sublimate correctly onto the Decorative Panel.

Step 3: After that, I place the Decorative Panel white side down onto the designed copy paper and Heat Tape the sides connecting them together.

Step 4: Now place a piece of Protective Paper down, your Heat Taped project with design on top and another piece of Protective Paper on the very top. This is the Sublimation Sandwich. Add the sandwich to your heat press and press for 90 seconds at 400˚F.

Step 6: When the pressing time is up try a peek test to ensure the transfer of your design moved on over to the Decorative Panel.

Step 7: Add the panel backing to the back and now you have a completed project.
